School Trip to Weimar: City Tour for School Groups
Classicism, democracy and Bauhaus for your school trip: one route, many perspectives, from Goethe's nature poetry at the ginkgo tree to the Weimar Constitution of 1919. Tailored to grade level and curriculum, for grades 7 to 12.

About this tour
The ideal start to your school trip: in two hours, the tour links the places where Weimar wrote literary, democratic and design history with what your class is currently covering in lessons. At the ginkgo tree, Goethe's poem makes nature poetry tangible; at the Bauhaus-Universität, the focus is on how art, design and politics are connected; on Platz der Demokratie and Theaterplatz, on the constitutions of 1816 and 1919; and at the Historic Cemetery, on the culture of remembrance. I agree on subject, grade level and focus with you in advance and then set the emphasis accordingly. Add-on module: those who stay several days can add a written list of recommendations for the remaining 2 to 4 days - suitable museums, theatre and concert offers as well as restaurants for school groups, tailored to subject and grade level. Flat fee of €25 extra. Please note that I cannot make bookings with museums, theatres or restaurants on your behalf.
